HOLA!!
My name is Chelsea Crawford and this is my first bolg for EDU 229 with Dr. Sadashiva! I am kind of excited about this because blogs are kind of cool. They let you share with others how you feel on a given day and allow others to get to know you better. With that said, I guess I should start of by telling you a little bit about myself. I am a sophomore, child development major here at Spelman College. I was born in Hartford, Ct and raised in Bloomfield, Ct. When I am home I live with my mom, dad, and younger sister Chalice (I love that kid sometimes but obviously we have our issues!). I have an older sister as well but she is 12 years older than me and lives on her own.
When I leave Spelman I plan on going to graduate school and then becoming a teacher. This is why I am in the class now. It is a required course for child development majors and I am glad that I am taking this course with Dr. Sadahiva. She is a really nice woman and I feel as though she genuinely cares about her students which has made this experience a wonderful one so far. The course content so far has been about why it is importnat to incorporate technology into the classroom as well as how to do so. We have learned that incorporating technology into the classroom does not neccessarily mean that a student will be sitting in front of a computer all day. I plan on learning a great deal from this class. I may not remember EVERYTHING however, I plan on remembering the information that I will get the most use out of in the future.
Buh-Bye for now!
